TRIFED to organise TAeM Melas from 3rd August
TRIFED (Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd.) will organise the Tribal Artisan Empanelment Melas (TAeM) in Kerala from 3rd to 12th August. On 3rd and 5th August, Melas will be held at Marayoor, Thekkady, in Idukki district. The TAeM Melas will also be held at Chalakudy in Thrissur, Attapadi in Palakkad, and Meenangadi, Suthanbathery in Wayanad. These areas cover the major tribes of Kattunayakan, Cholanaikans, Hill Pulayas, Malayars, Kadar, Kurumbas etc. Tribes from diverse backgrounds can participate and showcase their artistry,skills and traditions. TAeM Empanelment assists the tribal artisan in improving their ethnic products with improved designs and skill development training programmes conducted for tribal beneficiaries. TAeM events assist the local artisans to gain vivid exposure in national and international marketing linkage through various online and offline modes.
