KONNIVARTHA.COM : കേന്ദ്ര വ്യവസായ വാണിജ്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് കീഴിലുള്ള കാര്‍ഷിക, സംസ്‌കരിച്ച ഭക്ഷണ കയറ്റുമതി വികസന അതോറിറ്റി (എപിഇഡിഎ) യുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍, ഇടുക്കിയിലെ മറയൂരില്‍ നിന്ന് ദുബൈയിലേക്കുള്ള ഭൂമി ശാസ്ത്ര സൂചിക (ജിഐ ടാഗ്) ചെയ്ത മറയൂര്‍ ശര്‍ക്കരയുടെ ആദ്യ കയറ്റുമതി വെര്‍ച്വല്‍ ആയി ഫ്‌ളാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്തു.
അപേഡ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ ഡോ. എം അംഗമുത്തു ഐ എ എസ് ആണ് ഫ്‌ളാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്തത്. രാസ രഹിതമായ ഒരു അദ്വിതീയ ഭൗമ ശാസ്ത്ര സൂചികാ ഉല്‍പ്പന്നമായി ലോകത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കുമുള്ള മറയൂര്‍ ശര്‍ക്കരയുടെ കയറ്റുമതി പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളിലും തുറമുഖങ്ങളിലും ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് കേരളത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കയറ്റുമതി പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള വിശദമായ കര്‍മപദ്ധതി ഉടന്‍ വികസിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന കാര്‍ഷിക ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ടി വി സുഭാഷ് ഐ എ എസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഭൂമി ശാസ്ത്ര സൂചികാ ഉല്‍പ്പന്നമായി മറയൂര്‍ ശര്‍ക്കര ദുബൈയിലേക് കയറ്റുമതി ചെയുന്നത് ഫെയര്‍ എക്‌സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട് ഇന്ത്യ പ്രൈവറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡാണ്. അപെഡയുടെ കീഴില്‍ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്ത ലുലു ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഇന്റര്‍നാഷനലിന്റെ പ്രമുഖ സ്ഥാപനമാണ് ഫെയര്‍ എക്‌സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട് ഇന്ത്യ പ്രൈവറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡ്.
ദേശീയ അന്തര്‍ദ്ദേശീയ വിപണികളില്‍ ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ സൂചന ടാഗ് / ജിഐ ടാഗ് ഉത്പന്നങ്ങളുടെ ഡിമാന്‍ഡ് വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ ഉത്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉല്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും കാരണമാകും.
ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിന്ന് ജി ഐ ടാഗുചെയ്ത ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അപെഡയുടെ സംരംഭം ആത്യന്തികമായി 2021-22 ഓടെ 400 ബില്യണ്‍ യുഎസ് ഡോളര്‍ കയറ്റുമതി എന്ന പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം കൈവരിക്കുന്നതിന് വഴിയൊരുക്കും.
APEDA begins export of Marayoor Jaggery from Kerala to Dubai
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the flag-off of the first consignment of GI Tagged “Marayoor Jaggery” from Marayoor, Idukki, Kerala to Dubai, UAE virtually.
Dr. M Angamuthu IAS, Chairman, APEDA flagged off the first consignment of Marayoor Jaggery to Dubai. He mentioned promoting Marayoor jaggery in all parts of the world as being a unique GI product that is chemical-free. He also thanked the Govt of Kerala & farmers of Marayoor Jaggery for all the support. Mr. T V Subhash IAS, Director of Agriculture, Govt of Kerala, Representatives from Fair Exports India Pvt Limited along with other officials of APEDA took part in the flag-off ceremony. Mr. T V Subhash IAS, Director of Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala specified that a detailed action plan to promote exports from Kerala will be developed soon focusing on the airports & ports.
GI tagged Marayoor jaggery is exported from Marayoor, Idukki by Fair Exports India Pvt. Ltd to Dubai. Fair Exports India Pvt. Ltd. belonging to the Lulu Group International is a leading exporter registered under APEDA.
The economic prosperity of producers of GI-tagged goods is promoted by geographical indication tags by enhancing their demand in national & international markets. APEDA’s initiative to promote GI-tagged products from India is ultimately paving the way to achieve Honourable PM’s target of 400 billion USD of merchandise export by 2021-22.
