ഡിസംബര്‍ ജനുവരി ഫെബ്രുവരി മാസത്തിലെ നല്ല തണുപ്പും മഴ കുറവും കേരളത്തില്‍ മാം പൂക്കള്‍ക്ക് രക്ഷാ കവചം ഒരുക്കി. മാവുകള്‍ പൂക്കും മുന്നേ നല്ല മഴ കൂടുതൽ പൂക്കാൻ പ്രേരണയായി. നവംബർ, ഡിസംബർ ജനുവരി മാസങ്ങളിൽ മഴ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു നിന്നതും അനുഗ്രഹമായി.
മാവിന്റെ തളിർ ശിഖരങ്ങളിലെ അന്നജത്തിന്റെയും നൈട്രജന്റെയും സാന്നിധ്യമാണ് മികച്ച കായ്ഫലം ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്.മുൻവർഷം പൂവിടൽ കാലത്ത് അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട കനത്ത മഴ കായഫലം കുറച്ചിരുന്നു.ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിൽ മാവിന്റെ പൂവിടലിൽ ഗണ്യമായി കുറവുണ്ടായ സാഹചര്യം നിലനിൽക്കെയാണ് കേരളത്തിലെ സമൃദ്ധമായ പൂവിടല്‍ .
മിക്ക ഇടങ്ങളിലും കണ്ണി മാങ്ങയുടെ കുലകള്‍ക്ക് വന്‍ ഡിമാന്‍റ് ആണ് . കണ്ണിമാങ്ങ അച്ചാര്‍ കേരളത്തിലെ രുചികരമായ ഭക്ഷണ വിഭവമാണ് .
Nature’s Pleasure: This is a good mango season
The good cold and low rainfall of December, January and February in Kerala provided a shield for mam flowers. Good rains stimulate more flowering before the flour blooms. The months of November, December and January were also blessed with no rains.
The presence of starch and nitrogen in the young shoots of mango ensures good fruiting.
