തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിന് മുകളിൽ രൂപപ്പെട്ട ന്യുനമർദ്ദം ശക്തി കൂടിയ ന്യുനമർദ്ദമായി (Well Marked Low Pressure Area) മാറി. അടുത്ത 24 മണിക്കൂർ വടക്ക് – വടക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദിശയിൽ മധ്യ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ബംഗാൾ ഉൾക്കടലിനു മുകളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ന്യുനമർദ്ദം തുടർന്നുള്ള 24 മണിക്കൂറിൽ വടക്കു -വടക്കു കിഴക്ക് ദിശയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു ശക്തി കുറയാൻ സാധ്യത.
കേരളത്തിൽ അടുത്ത 5 ദിവസം ഇടിമിന്നലോടു കൂടിയ നേരിയ / ഇടത്തരം മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
The Low-Pressure Area over Southwest & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal moved northwestwards and lay as a Well-Marked Low-pressure area over southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 08th April 2025 with the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto middle tropospheric levels. It is likely to move north-northwestwards during next 24 hours over westcentral Bay of Bengal, maintaining the intensity of well marked low. Thereafter, it is likely to recurve north-northeastwards and weaken gradually over central Bay of Bengal during subsequent 24 hours.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning very likely over Kerala & Mahe during next 5 days.
