സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ കൊറോണ സ്ഥിതിഗതികള്‍ വിലയിരുത്താനും, നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചചെയ്യുന്നതിനുമായി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉദ്ധവ് താക്കറെയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഇന്ന് മന്ത്രിസഭാ യോഗം ചേര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. ഇതിലാണ് നിന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും എടുത്ത് കളയാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. സംസ്ഥാന ദുരന്തനിവാരണ വകുപ്പിന്റെ പിന്തുണയോടെയാണ് തീരുമാനം. ശനിയാഴ്ച മുതല്‍ തീരുമാനം പ്രാബല്യത്തില്‍ വരുമെന്ന് പാര്‍പ്പിട മന്ത്രി ജിതേന്ദ്ര അവ്ഹാദ് ഷരേദ് പറഞ്ഞു.
All COVID restrictions to be lifted in Maharashtra from April 2, mask not mandatory
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday announced that all COVID pandemic-related restrictions including mandatory wearing of mask to be lifted in the state from April 2, 2022.
The decision to lift all the COVID curbs was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Tope informed.
The Maharashtra health minister announced that from Gudhi Padwa (Marathi New Year which falls on April 2 this time), all COVID-19 related restrictions under the Epidemic Diseases Act and Disaster Management Act will be withdrawn.
The order to lift the COVID restrictions in Maharashtra was taken amid the steep fall daily coronavirus infections. The state registered 119 fresh COVID infections and two more people succumbed to the deadly disease.
