ഇന്ത്യൻ സൈന്യത്തെ വിമർശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സി.പി.എം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി കോടിയേരി ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ നടത്തിയ പ്രസ്താവന അതി പ്രാധാന്യം നല്‍കിക്കൊണ്ട് പാകിസ്താന്‍ പത്രം. പാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലെ ലാഹോറില്‍ നിന്നും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന പ്രമുഖ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പത്രമായ ദ എക്സ്‌പ്രസ് ട്രിബ്യൂണിലാണ് വാർത്ത പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ‘ഇന്ത്യൻ സേന പെൺകുട്ടികളെ ബലാത്സംഗം ചെയ്യും, തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും- കേരളാ നേതാവ്’ എന്ന തലക്കെട്ടിലാണ് വാർത്ത പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത് .
പട്ടാളത്തിന് കൂടുതൽ അധികാരം ലഭിച്ചാൽ പെൺകുട്ടികളെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുമെന്നും ബലാത്സംഗം ചെയ്യുമെന്നും കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് പാർട്ടിയുടെ കേരളാ സെക്രട്ടറി കോടിയേരി ബാലകൃഷൻ പറഞ്ഞുവെന്നാണ് വാർത്തയില്‍ പറയുന്നത് . ദേശീയ വാർത്താ ഏജൻസിയിൽനിന്നാണ് കോടിയേരിയുടെ അഭിപ്രായപ്രകടനം പാക്ക് മാധ്യമം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്.കോടിയേരിയുടെ ചിത്രം സഹിതം വിശദമായും പ്രധാന്യത്തോടെയുമാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്
കണ്ണൂരിലെ പ്രസംഗത്തിലാണ് കോടിയേരിയുടെ വിവാദ പരാമർശങ്ങളുണ്ടായത്. ‘പട്ടാളത്തിന് ആരെയും എന്തും ചെയ്യാം. നാലാളിൽ അധികം കൂടിയാൽ വെടിവച്ചു കൊല്ലാം. എതു സ്ത്രീകളെയും പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി മാനഭംഗപ്പെടുത്തും. ചോദിക്കാനും പറയാനും അവകാശമില്ല. അമിതാധികാരമുണ്ട്. ഇതാണു പട്ടാളനിയമം നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ എല്ലാ സ്ഥലത്തെയും അനുഭവം’- കോടിയേരി പറഞ്ഞു.
അതേസമയം, ഇന്ത്യൻ സേനയെ അപമാനിച്ചു എന്ന രീതിയിൽ ചില മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ വാർത്ത പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് തീർത്തും രാഷ്ട്രീയ ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയുള്ള നുണപ്രചാരണമാണെന്ന് കോടിയേരി ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. കശ്മീരിലും നാഗാലാൻഡിലും മണിപ്പുരിലും പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്ന പട്ടാളനിയമമായ ‘അഫ്‌സ്പ’ കേരളത്തിലും നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്ന് വാദിക്കുന്ന ആർഎസ്എസ് നിലപാടിനെയാണ് താൻ എതിർത്തതെന്നും ഫേസ്‌ബുക്കിൽ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത കുറിപ്പിൽ കോടിയേരി അവകാശപ്പെട്ടു.
ന്യൂനപക്ഷ സാംസ്‌കാരിക സമിതികളുടെ ജില്ലാ കോ ഓഡിനേഷൻ കമ്മറ്റി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ‘മുഖ്യധാരാ രാഷ്ട്രീയവും മുസ്ലിം ന്യൂനപക്ഷങ്ങളും’ എന്ന സെമിനാർ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ആ പ്രസംഗത്തിലെ ചില വരികൾ അടർത്തിയെടുത്താണ് ചില മാധ്യമങ്ങളും സംഘപരിവാർ പ്രവർത്തകരും പൊതുസമൂഹത്തെ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്തരം ആസൂത്രിത കുപ്രചരണങ്ങൾ ആരും വിശ്വസിക്കരുത്. ഇത് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരെ തുറന്നുകാട്ടാൻ സഖാക്കളും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും മുന്നോട്ടു വരണമെന്നും കോടിയേരി ഫേസ്‌ബുക് കുറിപ്പിലൂടെ അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു.

Indian army can rape, abduct women: Kerala leader
Communist Party of India’s Kerala secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has sparked controversy after he claimed the Indian army could rape and abduct women if given additional powers and no one would question them.

“They [army] can do anything to anybody. If they see more than four people standing together, they can shoot them…They can take any woman and rape her, nobody has the right to question them. This is the state wherever the army is,” Balakrishnan said on Thursday.
The remarks by the Kerala leader came a day after India’s Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said the country’s armed forces have been given a free-hand to take decisions in “war-like situations.” He further added officers are not bound to consult members of Parliament and can do as they deem fit to counter terrorist forces.
Balakrishnan further added if the army is deployed in Kerala state’s Kannur, clashes between army and the people are bound to happen.

Indian army has long been accused of atrocities in Indian occupied Kashmir too. Repression in occupied Kashmir also featured prominently in Amnesty International’s 2016-17 report, claiming that the Indian authorities are using repressive laws to curb freedom of expression and silence critical voices.
